Specimen Storage: Maintain specimen at room temperature or refrigerate at 4C Do not freeze. **FOR ORDERING ON MALE PARTNER ONLY** The lab will hold the male's specimen pending the outcome of the female partner's Inheritest panel. If the female patient is a carrier of autosomal recessive gene(s), the lab will proceed with GeneSeq PLUS [5194962] testing on the male partner for the gene(s). A separate requisition is required for each partner. The partner's name and date of birth need to be included on both the female patient's and her partner's requisition to appropriately link the orders. Test orders must include an attestation that the provider has the patient's informed consent for the genetic testing. |
