| Instructions | Please submit a copy of the CBC results performed in your lab, patient history, and two (2) unstained blood smears. Smears should be made on 26 x 75mm, white, 45-degree clipped corner slides. The peripheral blood smear, laboratory data and clinical history will be reviewed by a pathologist who will issue an interpretative report. Note: We cannot guarantee a review will be performed if smears are submitted on non-clipped corner slides. | Notes | For clients requesting Labcorp Oklahoma, Inc. Central Lab to perform the CBC and blood smear in addition to the pathologist review, Please continue to order the standard HemePath Consult (2904600) or for anemia evaluation, order HemePath Consult Analyzer (0110800). Please note, an EDTA lavender tube must be received in the lab within 24 hours of collection. Testing Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday if non-clipped corner slides are sent. Monday through Friday if clipped corner slides are sent. |
