| Instructions | Collection: Collect sample in a clean wide-mouthed container, bedpan, plastic bag, or sheet of plastic wrap placed over the toilet seat. If infant or child has diarrhea, line the diaper with plastic wrap or use a pediatric urine bag placed over the rectum to collect a specimen that is not contaminated with urine. Transfer specimen to Para-Pak C&S (Cary-Blair) container or FecalSwab transport container within 1 hour after stool is passed. |
