| Instructions | Collect fresh stool (fecal) specimen in a wide-mouth container, bedpan, or plastic wrap loosely covering toilet and held in place with toilet seat. Collect specimen on child in diapers by placing pedi-urine bag over rectum. Place stool into sterile container; label container with first and last name, date of birth, date and time of collection, and collector's initials; Keep refrigerated and transport to laboratory within 2 hours. |
