| Instructions | Container Preparation: Bottle top(s) must be cleaned with alcohol prior to addition of specimen. Specimen Collection: Clean venipuncture site with Betadine or ChloraPrep, and allow the site to air dry. Avoid palpating vein after cleansing step, use aseptic technique. Short draws should be avoided. Aseptically dispensing the recommended volume of blood is essential for optimal pathogen recovery. |
