| Instructions | Specimen Type: Gel-barrier tube Specimen Storage: FREEZE up to 4 weeks Specimen Collection: Allow to clot for 30 minutes at room temperature and centrifuge specimen 10 minutes at 3400 RPM or 20 minutes at 1500 RPM. Separate serum into a transfer tube as soon as possible. Freeze at -20(degrees)C immediately. * Patient should be fasting 10-12 hours prior to collection. Antacid medication or medication that may affect intestinal motility should be discontinued if possible for at least 48 hours prior to collection.
