| Instructions | Instructions: 1. Prior to collection notify laboratory (405-307-1100) to schedule a lab tech to be present during procedure. 2. Bone marrow specimens are collected by the physician and assisted by lab tech. 3. The labeled specimen and slides are brought to Histology unfixed and in a syringe (if during open hours) accompanied by a completed tissue slip. 4. If after hours, the specimen is placed in 10% neutral buffered formalin. Note: A pathology/diagnostic report and a brief history are required for processing. Storage temperature: Ambient Do not Refrigerate or Freeze specimen |

| Reference Range | An interpretive report will be provided. | |||
| Methodology | Includes tissue processing, hematoxylin-and-eosin stain, iron stain, and additional stains if necessary for interpretation. A pathology consultation is also included and is charged separately. | |||
