Instructions ~ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS REQUIRED ~
1. Pertinent clinical history including if the patient has a diagnosis of CML or other bcr/abl-positive neoplasm
2. Date of collection
3. Specimen source (blood or bone marrow)
If not ordering electronically through Mayo Medical Laboratories, please submit a Hematopathology/Molecular Oncology Request Form with the specimen.  Refer to Mayo's Test Catalog.
~ Specimen must arrive at Mayo Medical Laboratories within 72 hours of collection ~

PROCESSING INSTRUCTIONS:

Invert tube several times to mix. Send specimen in original tube. Label specimen as blood or bone marrow.
